Twin Towns
The Killarney Town Twinning Committee is a sub-committee of the Town Council and is based on the concept whereby towns in geographically and politically distinct areas are paired with the goal of fostering human contact and cultural links. Town twinning represents a unique and dense network and therefore has a specific role to play with regard to challenges in today's world. We would hope that with out twinned towns and sister cities to involve the local community by local association with schools, volunteers and host families to participate in an active role through cultural performance, education, sport etc. We would like also to promote private business and economic development.
