With its superb 2200 seat INEC Venue hosting international acts and shows, and its many smaller concert and cabaret venues throughout the town, the visitor to Killarney is seldom without a top class entertainment option. Many of Killarney's Pubs also provide live music nightly ranging from Traditional Irish, Folk, C&W and even some Rock. For the late night owls, Killarney also a number of Late Night Venues. Throughout the year, Killarney also hosts a number of big Events and Festivals - two of the most popular being the Killarney Summerfest (July) and Christmas in Killarney (December). A new farmers’ market will be launched on Scott’s street in Killarney town centre on Friday, June 25.
Vendors will sell a vast selections home-grown, fresh food produce including fruit & vegetables, herbs, homemade jams, eggs & bread, cakes, organic meat, cheese, fish as well as a selection of handmade crafts.
Scotts street is Killarney’s only pedestrian street and as such is the perfection location for an open air market. The town centre location combined with ample underground parking make Scotts Street easily accessible either on foot or by car. The outdoor seated area will allow shoppers and browsers alike to sit and soak up the atmosphere of Killarney’s only open air market.
The market will run every Friday from 10am to 2pm and is open to all local food and craft producers, all stalls are free on the first Friday. For further details on securing a pitch at the market should contact Patricia O’Mahony on 064 6631060.

KERRY WAY 2010-2011 PROGRAMME
The following Routes and Dates Programme was announced for the next round of Kerry Way Walks. The Kerry Way Stages are generally Category “B” walks requiring good hill walking fitness. The stages average c. 11 to 12 miles in length, include some climbs and are completed at a reasonable pace of c. 2 miles per hour allowing for lunch stops etc. (Actual walking pace is c. 2.4 miles per hour).

ART CLASSES AT THE LAKE HOTEL
Oil Painting courses for Beginners & Intermediate Painters
PLEIN AIR PAINTING classes at THE LAKE HOTEL Killarney:
In other words, OUTDOOR PAINTING in the grounds of the Lake Hotel, with panoramic views of the lakes, mountains and National Park just beyond the hotel lawn. There will be an option to move indoors at a moments notice depending on the weather, so we can continue to paint inside if need be.
‘Plein Air’ or ‘Outdoor’ painting is different to a studio setting, there’s a wonderful sense of being part of what you’re painting, which is really something in a location as beautiful and tranquil as the Lake Hotel. Classes will take the same format with small groups and
step-by-step instruction with Tina Reed. There will be a full set of course notes given out, describing the techniques used during the course with reminders and tips on colour mixing, composition and brush/ palette-knife methods.
Classes are suitable for beginner and intermediate painters.
Use of studio paints optional. All equipment included.
