The Department's Mission

"Our mission is to promote a caring society through ensuring access to income support and other services, enabling active participation, promoting social inclusion and supporting families."


The Department formulates appropriate social protection policies and administers and manages the delivery of statutory and non-statutory schemes and services.

The Department is responsible for the delivery of a range of social insurance and social assistance schemes including provision for unemployment, illness, maternity, caring, widowhood, retirement and old age.

Opening Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 12:00pm, 14:00pm - 16:00pm.
